Dr. Allison is a very skilled dentist. He is one of the best dentists I have ever had. I had a tooth extracted and I felt no pain afterwards. I was very well pleased with Dr. Allison and his wonderful office staff.

A terrific dental practice. Dr Allison is a clear communicator who addresses my concerns and questions, and his staff has always been excellent.

Treatment plan is what I have asked prior dentist to do and they said it could not be done. At this office after exams I was given the treatment plan that I was seeking without the dentist knowing what I wanted. Great place.

I must admit, for several years I had not taken good care of my teeth…although I was admonished to do so many times by my wife. However, I had not found a dentist I was truly comfortable with after moving from Louisiana to North Carolina in 1993…that was until I was referred to Dr. Allison. Initially, I was reluctant to go because of previous bad experiences with dentists.

For many years I had broken and cracked teeth; along with unhealthy gums.

I know many people are terrified of going to the dentist, me being one of them; but I believe people would be less afraid if the dentist is someone who truly gets to know their patients. A doctor who is willing to explain thoroughly needed dental services and is willing to help resolve a patient's reservations and concerns. I received that type of care from Dr. Allison. He was non-judgmental, very caring, and gentle. That was important to me!!!!!

With Dr. Allison's gentle demeanor and excellent knowledge of oral healthcare, I am healthy once again since some physical health problems are associated with poor dental care.

This was my first dentist appointment in four years, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'd been neglecting my teeth, so I was pretty nervous, but Dr. Allison's office made it as painless as possible.

I've always been to a dentist where the assistant cleans your teeth, and the dentist comes in afterwards to check her work. This was definitely not the case with Dr. Allison. As soon as I finished x-rays, he came in and thoroughly cleaned my teeth, catching some areas of concern that my previous dentist had missed. My teeth look the best they've looked in years, even when I was going to the dentist regularly.

He gave a thorough, honest assessment of my teeth, without trying to charge me for unnecessary procedures. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was very pleased, and will definitely make this my regular dentist.

It's always easy to give a dentist 5 stars when you are cavity-free...

But even besides that, the care my husband and I received at F. Vincent Allison's office was excellent. As students, we don't have the greatest of dental plans, and they were willing to work with us. The receptionist is amazing, she was able to get our records from another dental office and it saved us on having to get our xrays/panoramics redone... SCORE! She was friendly, kept us updated on when she had received them, and rescheduled our appointments last minute to work with us.

The cleaning I received was thorough, as was the examination. Dr. Allison is extremely nice, pleasant, and smart... you can tell he really enjoys his job. I will certainly be going to this dental office as long as I am in Durham and possibly even if I move further out. I am extremely pleased with their honest business practice and thorough quality of care.
